  2. SuperPCK with Coretest
  3.  
  4. Description:

  6. Coretest is a public domain application that comes in many
  7. different versions. It runs various benchmark tests on a system.
  8.  
  9. Some of the Taiwanese computer manufacturers rely on Coretest
  10. for their production quality assurance. Multisoft and the
  11. Digital Research engineering labs are working on a problem
  12. reported from Taiwan.
  13.  
  14. If SuperPCK is running in extended memory, Coretest causes the
  15. cache to get corrupted and Diskopt reports cross-linked files.
  16. Actual data on the drive is not lost or corrupted. Rebooting
  17. corrects the error.

  19. Workaround to avoid any problems is:
  20.  
  21. 1. Run SuperPCK in expanded memory, or
  22.  
  23. 2. Set the switch /B- which decreases interrupt timeout.
  24.  
  25. This problem is expected to be fixed in the near future.
